Isabel Loh, Age 10
An apple can represent joy, knowledge, wisdom, and more. Isabel came up with this composition inspired by a puzzle game that she plays. With the apple as the focal point, she wants to captivate the audience in identifying signifiers that speak to them individually. This artwork represents a visual exploration that ignites a deeper meaning of observation. She is happy that by doing what she loves the most (painting), she is also able to help raise funds to help the less fortunate.

AN INVITATION TO CELEBRATE OUR YOUNG ARTIST
AND CHAMPION A CAUSE.
After learning more about early child marriages, Isabella wanted to focus on portraying a story with a family heirloom. Earrings are precious as they are passed down for generations through family members, such as from mother to daughter. It is worn at weddings to bring our the natural beauty of the bride and with this mindset, she designed and painted a pair of earrings in hope that this painting will bring more awareness to the issue of early child marriages.

Katelyn Pang, Age 9
"My artwork is about hope, which is why I drew a butterfly.", said Katelyn. A small act of kindness can make a big difference. As the title suggests, Katelyn wants to inspire people to be like the butterfly; be free to spread its wings, and dream big for a hopeful future ahead. Like a ripple effect, all it takes is one small step every day to make a huge impact that can make this world a more joyful place.

Leah Law, Age 8
Enchanted by the floating lanterns from the movie, Tangled, Leah wanted to portray wishes with these lanterns in the sky. Inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night, Leah created a dynamic movement within the painting itself by filling it with bright colors lighting up the night sky. The splatters of white represent hope and happiness in the wishes. Leah shares, "I hope when people see my artwork, they will like it and that they will have dreams that make them happy."

10. past tree
"My work is about a tree stump. In the painting, the translucent illusion of the past tree rises from the stump. I painted this because many trees have been cut down to make way for human development and we should not allow deforestation to continue. The translucent tree symbolises the fact that we can still save the trees. I hope that with this painting, people will learn about the effects of deforestation and take a stand to stop it."
